3.1b) What are the living and non-living components of the environment?

 


Living and Non-Living Components of the Environment:

  1. Living Components (Biotic):

    • These are all living organisms in the environment.
      Examples:
      • Plants
      • Animals
      • Humans
      • Microorganisms (bacteria, fungi)
  2. Non-Living Components (Abiotic):

    • These are the non-living physical and chemical elements of the environment.
      Examples:
      • Air
      • Water
      • Soil
      • Sunlight
      • Temperature

Both components interact to create and sustain ecosystems.
